Numerous California Mountain Rescue teams and allied SAR Units responded on a Type 1 Alpine SAR team request for Ron Hoggard, the 58 y.o. City Manager of Corcoran, California. On day two MRA teams from Ventura, Sierra Madre, Mono, China Lake, Malibu and Marin deployed to search segments around were Mono County found the clue the evening before. About 0830, a Marin team located Hoggard near the Fissures on the Valley rim, about 1 mile from were Mono County located the Shelter and tracks. Hoggard was dehydrated, fatigued and hungry, but otherwise in good shape considering he slept out three nights with temps in the low 30's each night.
